I recently decommissioned my regular blog, so the tales must naturally live a life somewhere else.
Would I ever have thought uttering that sentence, verbatim? Most likely not.
This is the interesting part of what LLMs, large language models, also have to deal with. The science behind our language is utterly fascinating!
We rarely encounter the same exact phrase, in the wild, in reality. So given a chance to record all utterances of some good cutoff length, say 6 words, we would see that most things people say, are unique.
It sounds almost impossible at first hearing.
Note: don’t take that at plain face value. What I remember is having heard this, and it stroke a chord, exactly because somehow counter-intuitively it felt very surprising to me.
Intuition!
We command our thoughts in the brain. What is intuition? I think, for sure, it is a million dollar question. No one quite knows this on a scientific level. Intuition has to do with the brain, that much we do know. Then: we start to get thinner on the agenda.
Looking at a handful of papers, about intuition and neuroscience, the grand result, according to a ChatGPT — is that intuition is not very actively researched.
